  |  The farm the departure point of the Secret Gardens adventure, has been completely renovated and decorated by Alain and Nicole including the decorated coffered ceilings, panelling and painted furniture. Outside is an elegant mosaic of paths bordered by flowers, decorated wooden galleries, cobbled courtyards, and enclosed gardens.Here evolved an astonishing style of architecture inspired by the mountain environment and the shores of the Mediterranean, which took shape from the ideas, dreams, childhood memories and the couple's travelling experiences. So appeared in the grounds covering 7000 m², the Pleasure Garden (le Jardin délice), the Courtyard of the Big Chestnut Tree (la Cour du grand marronnier), the Andalusia Garden (le Jardin andalou), the Apothecary's Garden (le Jardin de l’apothicaire), the Cobbled Courtyard (la Cour des calades), the Lodges of madness (les Loges de la folie), the Lyre Garden (le Jardin des lyres), the Priest's Garden (le Jardin de curé), the Joyous Isle (l’isle joyeuse), the Masharabiyas Gallery, the Palmette Gallery (la Galerie des palmettes), the Rose Walk (l’Allée des roses)... Amongst these gardens overflowing with inspiration , Nicole and Alain have created a tranquil haven around a large covered pool : a taste of paradise to savour in the Star Room (le Salon aux Etoiles, the Blue Bedroom (la Chambre bleue), the Moroccan Room (le Salon marocain) or the Indian Room (le Salon indien). |
