Access for the Handicapped
There is wheelchair access to about 80% of the gardens.
Certains areas are not so easy due to the type of flooring and the access.
Manual wheelchairs need to be a standard size.
Electric wheelchairs have more problems (check with our staff).
Rain
In the The Secret Gardens there are galleries, covered walkways, terraces, covered sitting areas if the weather is bad.
The evening visits always take place even if it is raining as there are several sitting rooms.
Duration of a visit
For individuals the visit lasts about 1 hour or more acording to your interests.
A recent study showed that visitors stay about 1 hr 30 to 2 hours in the gardens.
Dogs
Dogs on leads are allowed.
Pushchair access
You can visit the site with a pushchair but it is easier to use a baby carrier.
Boutique opening hours
We can open the boutique outside the gardens opening times on request.
Car parks
There is ample parking space, including a coach park, at the entrance to the site.
Refreshments
From 13th July to 24th August there are light refreshement available at lunchtime and in the evening. (Reservation is reccommended at lunchtime and obligatory in the evening.)
Drinks
Cold drinks and mint tea are served on the terraces.
Payment
We do not accept credit cards. Payment can be made by cheque, cheque vacance, and cash.
Picnic areas
There is a picnic table at the ticket office of the Secret Gardens.
